Teaching philosophy

I am passionate about education. My first duty as an educator is not to teach but rather motivate and give the students the support they need for them to learn. The world of business and management excites me and every day I make my goal to transmit that energy through class interactions. While I as a teacher must thoroughly cover the core area of instruction, I must also encourage development and application of ideas, participation and creative thinking and not weight the course down with plain transmission of information, as nowadays information is freely available. I am in the process of flipping my classes to a more dynamic and discussion-centered environment. The use of multi-touch books, interactive apps like Flipboard, and short educational videos, which I have created. I have also propelled the interaction in my courses to new levels. For that, I am happy and thankful.
