Professional profile

Humberto Florez joined the College of Business and Management at Lynn University as Associate Professor of Operations Management in the Summer of 2018. Dr. Florez has been the Managing Partner of Analitica Consulting Group since its foundation in 2013. Previously Dr. Florez was Regional CEO for Damco Latin America, the logistics arm of the A.P. Moller-Maersk group. Dr. Florez was an executive with Deutsche Post - DHL for over ten years. He was Regional CEO for Asia-Pacific and for Latin America for one of the group’s business units. In addition to his international business career, Dr. Florez has been an Adjunct Faculty at Nova Southeastern University and Broward College as well as a Visiting Professor at the Helsinki School of Business.


Dr. Florez holds doctoral and master degrees in Transportation Planning and Engineering from NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering, as well as a master degree from the Brazilian Military Institute of Engineering and a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

Exposing students to situations frequently experienced by managers and challenging them to develop skills to address them is one of the best approaches to business education.
