Teaching Philosophy:

David Schapiro's teaching philosophy is to ensure students have a foundation of theories and principles that they can then apply when they graduate from Lynn University. In class, he uses theory as a base, and through in-class demonstration and hands-on experiences, students can learn the essentials of being a hospitality "expert." His classes allow for critical thinking through research projects and essay writing. By using current articles, news reports and research journals that are applicable to the hospitality industry, students have an understanding of our ever-changing industry, and they have current knowledge of where the industry stands, and where it is going.
