Professional profile

Daniel Ceccoli began his adult experience as a member of the United States Marine Corp and VietNam veteran where he earned numerous awards for valor and the Purple Heart. As a young man he used the GI Bill® to subsidize his undergraduate education at Keystone College and Temple University where he majored in Psychology and minored in Biological Sciences. Upon graduation he worked in the public sector in the field of psychology and in the government sector in the field of foreign intelligence. Ceccoli is a first generation American and son of an Italian-born father and as such he took advantage of his fluent Italian language and heritage to study Medicine and Surgery at the L'Universita' Degli Studi Di Roma in Italy.

He has more than 25 years of experience as a physician, researcher and educator both in Italy and the United States. During his professional life Ceccoli has focused his attention on the practice and research in the field of Clinical and Surgical Pathology, both in Rome, Italy and here in the United States. During this period his career has evolved to the education sector most recently at Nova Southeastern University and ultimately his position at Lynn University. He brings a wealth of knowledge from the health and wellness private sector as well as an educational foundation in the sciences that can be used to mentor and foster future Lynn graduates for leadership roles in the American scientific community.

Teaching philosophy

Daniel Ceccoli believes that we are all teachers in a way, since the altruistic hope is that the generation that follows us will take the knowledge that we have gained through our endeavors, improve upon it and pass it forward. The world is constantly changing and for those who want to be a productive member of the international community of man, scholarship, skills and guidance need to be encouraged and practiced by those who lead and by those who strive to learn within this immense classroom that is our world. As Plato stated in The Republic "The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future life." Therefore Ceccoli's goal as part of the process is to foster critical thinking, facilitate the acquisition of life-long learning skills, develop problem solving strategies and to help young or old to discover their passion in life.
