Admission requirements

To start your application, visit admission.lynn.edu/apply. Under “Education plan” where it says “I am applying as a/an,” please select:

  • Online first-year: If you’ve completed fewer than 12 college credits.
  • Online transfer: If you’ve completed 12 or more college credits.

You can start your application now, then save it and finish it later.

As part of your online application, you’ll submit your academic and employment history. Explore the admission requirements in this section for what else you may need.

Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for the application process and may be uploaded as a part of your online application.

Official final transcripts will be required upon admission.

To request your transcript, you can use the form provided by your specific institution. They must be sent directly from the institution to Lynn in one of the following ways:

Electronically
Email to admission@lynn.edu

By mail
Attn: Office of Admission
Lynn University
3601 N. Military Trail
Boca Raton, FL 33431

Note: If your final transcript is not in English, an official transcript evaluation must be submitted using World Education Services or International Education Evaluations.

Official transcripts from each institution attended must be submitted in order for the Office of the Registrar to complete a formal transfer evaluation. Courses completed outside of the United States require students to submit a NACES approved official foreign credential evaluation and translation along with their official transcripts. Each transfer evaluation is reviewed by the Office of Academic Affairs and/or appropriate college faculty.

The personal essay should include the following: what your career interests and long-term goals are, why you want to complete an online bachelor’s degree and what appeals to you most about completing your degree at Lynn.

International applications must also provide:

  • Official TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, PTE Academic or Versant test scores if English is not the applicant’s first language. Applicants with a minimum TOEFL score of 71 (Internet-based), a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, a minimum Duolingo score of 100, a minimum PTE Academic score of 50 or a minimum Versant score of 60 will be considered for admission. To register, contact TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, PTE or Versant.

Consideration may be given to students who fall slightly below Lynn University’s English requirement. These cases will be reviewed on an individual basis by the Office of Admission.

Applicants from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, the Commonwealth Caribbean, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa or the United Kingdom are not required to submit proof of English proficiency test scores.
  • International Transcript Evaluation and course equivalency report for students who have attended schools outside of the United States.
