Marketing courses

As a student in the marketing certificate program, you are required to complete four courses (12 credits). The 12 credits earned from the certificate courses can be transferred to the MBA degree program should you decide to pursue an MBA degree within 1–2 years after completion of the certificate.

MBA 620: Marketing Management in a Global Economy
Focus on the major decisions that marketing managers and top management face in their efforts to mesh the objectives, core competencies and resources of an organization with the opportunities and threats in an increasingly global marketplace. Apply marketing thinking to products and services for any profit or not-for-profit organization.

MBA 621: International Marketing
Examine how a company markets an existing product in new global markets and how a company develops a new product for a global market. Explore the framework of foreign entry, local marketing abroad and global management.

MBA 625: Integrated Marketing Communications
Learn how to integrate every form of communication to deliver the same powerful message. Use a customer-focused approach that combines the full range of information tools and points of contact to build customer loyalty. Develop strategies for the allocation of communications resources.

MBA 628: Special Topics in Marketing
Study current or leading-edge topics in the marketing field, including brand asset management, new product development, marketing research, advertising management, business-to-business marketing and multicultural marketing.
