International business curriculum
In the online international business program, you will take Lynn’s general education courses called the Dialogues, which includes topics in English, math, critical thinking and science. In addition to the courses, you will also take classes on the global finance markets and global management.
BUS 280 Global Management
Understand and appreciate a host country’s culture as a key for successful business endeavors. Study economic analyses, political/legal assessments and market research to gain international business decision-making and strategy development. Learn the role of international agencies and the mechanics of trade.
MKT 392 Global Marketing
Learn marketing management activities from the perspective of firms doing business across national boundaries. Explore a theoretical analysis of the causes of international trade, including comparative advantage, Heckscher-Ohlin theory and more recent theories. Examine international trade policy, economic integration, trade problems of developing countries and the role of multinational corporations in world trade.
BUS 440 Global Operations Strategy
Study supply chain management in the global marketplace. Learn the importance of understanding and appreciating host country legal, cultural and technological environments. Determine current influences, practices and standards for structural and infrastructural decision-making across national boundaries. Explore the complexity of managing geographically dispersed operations with relationships among multiple entities.
Graduates must complete a total of 120 credits.
