Entrepreneurial management courses

As a student in the entrepreneurial certificate program, you are required to complete four courses (12 credits). The 12 credits earned from the certificate courses can be transferred to the MBA degree program should you decide to pursue an MBA degree within 1–2 years after completion of the certificate.

MBA 600: Leadership and Management of Organizations
Get introduced to leading thinkers in business today and to influential theories and approaches to contemporary business issues. Organizational styles, innovation and change, globalization and technology are among the issues analyzed to determine best practices for leaders and managers. Learn how to apply these ideas, theories and strategies to analyses of case studies and to examples from your own professional life.

MBA 651: Creativity and Innovation
Explore the entrepreneurial mindset as it relates to creativity and innovation. Review theoretical and applied models of creativity and innovation, and compare their applications by individuals, groups and organizations. Discover innovative approaches to opportunity recognition and learn what it means to be truly entrepreneurial and innovative.

MBA 652: Managing Entrepreneurial Ventures
Discuss how to create economic value in your business ventures. Gain techniques to enhance business sustainability and growth by forming and implementing profitable innovation and creating an organizational culture of innovation.

MBA 653: Entrepreneurial Financing
Learn how to find and secure financing for entrepreneurs, and how to grow and manage the venture. Practice forecasting and calculating revenues, start-up expenses, and working capital and reserve requirements. Learn where to source funding, how to apply for it and how to build a sound argument to attract funds.
