With Lynn’s digital art and design program, you’ll take a wide range of design and media courses spanning topics including layout, film and photography. Digital art and design curriculum

As a student of the digital art and design program, you’ll gain advanced instruction and practice in a wide array of visual design fields across a range of media. You’ll study traditional graphic design principles while using the latest design tools with expert professors who have industry experience in computer graphics, photography, graphic design and illustration. 

Graduates must complete a total of 120 credits in the following categories:

  • 57 university core curriculum credits
  • 12 CIC core credits
  • 33 major credits
  • 18 free elective credits

GVC 122 Drawing and Design
Gain a solid foundation in basic drawing and design, as well as the creation of conceptual and aesthetic compositions. Explore the application of drawing and design principles and visual elements such as line, form, texture and value. 

GVC 220 Digital Layout and Design
Get an overview of visual design practices that integrates design principles, digital photography, typography and graphics in preparation for use in print and web publications such as flyers, brochures, posters, magazines and web pages.

GVC 235 Web Design
Discover the publishing and development of websites, and discuss web design fundamentals with lectures and demonstrations. Design and code web templates, and develop web pages, image galleries and navigation menus using industry standard software.
