Online criminal justice curriculum

This online criminal justice degree program exposes you to various aspects of existing law enforcement systems, judicial systems and correctional systems. It provides new students with a fundamental background in criminal justice, and offers seasoned professionals a deeper understanding of their field to help advance their careers.

Course preview

PSY 100: Human Behavior
Learn how human beings function as individuals, within groups and as members of particular societies. Explore human behavior within the context of prosocial human behavior, abnormal human behavior and the result of maladaptive human behavior.

CRJ 302: Issues in Corrections
Study the nature of punishment and its purpose. Identify contemporary issues surrounding the legal and social construction of confinement against a backdrop of controversy, idealism and unfulfilled social promise, and review alternative correctional models.

CRJ 320 Criminology
Study the nature, extent, etiology and control of law-breaking behavior. Establish empirical knowledge about crime and its control, based upon qualitative and quantitative research that forms a basis for understanding, explanation, prediction, prevention and criminal justice policy.

Graduates must complete a total of 120 credits.
