Explore the world of music making

Earn your music composition degree and learn how to compose and arrange music effectively. As a music composition major, you’ll learn music academics, theory and music history, along with private instruction in composition. And, you’ll learn all of this from renowned faculty members with years of composition and performance experience.

The conservatory’s small size ensures highly personalized and individualized education. Through private instruction and a variety of music courses, you'll explore and pursue the world of music with no particular bias with regard to musical “style.”

The conservatory’s annual New Music Festival also provides young composers with the opportunity to have original compositions performed in a public setting. Many will work with respected and accomplished guest composers.

All students accepted into the Conservatory of Music attend Lynn tuition-free.
