Digital media curriculum
Lynn’s advanced communication program is designed for media professionals who plan to take their career to the next level. You’ll gain a strong foundation in communication and media theory, research, law and history with multiple layers of practical application in content production and delivery. You’ll also have many hands-on opportunities. So when it’s time to graduate, you’ll be prepared for a variety of media jobs. You may take this course completely online.

GVC 530 Aesthetics of Digital Photography
Examine photographic aesthetics, illustrative tenets, professional practices, photojournalism and the potential of visual storytelling. Study contemporary issues in digital photography. Learn sophisticated digital image manipulation, digital camera use, studio and natural lighting, and visual interpretation.
GVC 570 Digital Storytelling
Track a fictitious or documentary digital production from the stages of preproduction through post-production editing. Examine the history, role and working practice of documentary, narrative or abstract digital filmmaking. Prepare scripts, film and edit footage, and study and practice storytelling techniques derived from visual theory.
GVC 580 Animation and Motion Graphics
Explore traditional, experimental and digital animation as well as motion graphics techniques and styles. Examine the history and methodologies of past and contemporary animators. Learn how to integrate and manipulate compositional elements across a nonlinear timeline in order to generate content for video, interactive installations or websites.
Graduates must complete a total of 37 credits.
