AVF 221Instrument Flight Theory - Advanced Ground School

Advanced Instrument flight theory in compliance with FAR Part 141 that prepares the student for the FAA written exam in preparation for the instrument rating. Topics include regulations, instrument holding patterns and approaches, meteorology, IFR flight planning, risk and safety considerations. Note: this course meets the partial FAA requirements for Instrument Pilot ground school,but does not include any hands-on training in controlling a physical aircraft. In addition, this course provides fundamental theoretical knowledge that is useful for students pursuing non-flight aviation programs.
