Career opportunities

Whether you’re looking to fly privately, corporately or commercially, a professional pilot degree provides invaluable opportunities in the aviation industry.

Flight instructor

Flight instructors serve as role models to aspiring pilots as they train them to operate an aircraft. They teach students about safety rules, flight conditions and overall operations using textbook education, simulators and live flight training.

Cargo pilot

Cargo pilots fly commercial planes containing various goods, such as company supplies or courier service packages. They are responsible for maintaining the quality of goods during transport.

Private or commercial pilots

Take command of the cockpit in private or commerical airliners and get passengers safely to their destination. They plan their route, speed and schedule for flights, always aligning with federal and local regulations.

Fixed base operation management

Fixed base operation managers oversee the aviation operations for a company's airstrip or hangar. They schedule fuel sales and delivery, hangar rentals and aircraft repair service. They also manage the crew and hiring process at a base.

Airline management

Airline managers provide the leadership needed to maintain efficiency from the runway to baggage claim. Enforcing FAA standards, supervising staff and improving procedures for ground crew and tower controllers are just a few aspects of this key role.

Our ambassadors offer valuable insight to prospective students and families on life at Lynn. See their stories and connect with them today.

I chose Lynn primarily for its location and professional pilot program. The opportunity to study in a smaller school with small classes and a close-knit community was also appealing to me. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading. It's a hobby that allows me to relax and expand my knowledge on various subjects. After completing my studies at Lynn, I aspire to become an airline pilot. This has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I'm excited to pursue it further after graduation.

I chose Lynn because they have a great pilot program and it has an amazing student community. Outside of class, I enjoy meeting new people around campus, exploring South Florida, and going plane spotting in Miami. After my four great years at Lynn, I hope to accomplish my dream of becoming an airline pilot.

I chose Lynn because of their small class sizes, their aviation program, and their swim team. I enjoy going out with my friends and going to the beach. After Lynn, I hope to become an airline pilot and continue swimming in some capacity.
