Performance: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Harp & PercussionMaster of Music

Students playing in the conservatory to earn their master’s in music.

Enhance your performance

Conservatory students receive a highly personalized and individualized education at Lynn, thanks to our small size. Our faculty offer comprehensive professional performance training through private instruction, ensemble coaching and music classes.

You will be thoughtfully assigned to a chamber music group for every semester you are at Lynn. Your group will work within a structured rehearsal schedule, have formal weekly coaching and fulfill required performances. Additional opportunities include weekly studio classes and performance forums, mock orchestral auditions, the New Music Festival and multiple master class opportunities.

The Lynn University Philharmonia, under the musical direction of maestro Guillermo Figueroa, attains a professional level of performance and enjoys tremendous public support for its eight symphonic programs.

Our faculty is focused on honing the skills necessary for you to enjoy a successful career in music. We distinguish ourselves through our orchestral program that ensures you will be assigned specific performance requirements and receive many opportunities to address the multiple career paths you may pursue.

All students accepted into the Conservatory of Music attend Lynn tuition-free.

And I won [the MET audition]. I was in shock,” Valverde said. “They said, ‘Are you ok?’ Then the judges all clapped for me. I will always remember their expressions.
