Christine, a Hopewell, N.J., native, was an avid golfer and a loyal Phillies and Eagles fan. She has been described as “sweet and compassionate, always with a smile on her face and a story to tell.” She loved Lynn University and felt at home here.
Christine, a Communications major, enjoyed spending time with her friends and was intensely interested in the lives of others. She raised almost $3,000 by herself for the 2008 Relay for Life, and she donated multiple Big LU parties that she won at Lynn’s Blue & White Auction to local children’s organizations. She had a “big heart and always wanted to give,” said her father. Christine was also involved in the Residence Hall Association and the Knights in the Community service organization, and she was a former member of Knights Activities Association.
Her friend Chris Dillon called her “the most kindhearted and loving person I know,” and her family meant the world to her. “Christine was a wonderful young woman who was known around campus for her kindness and compassion,” said Gregory Malfitano, senior vice president for administration.
Christine, 22, was very proud of the Journey of Hope trip to Jamaica that she took last year. When she returned, she had vowed to continue to be involved in helping others in need. She was hoping to pursue a career in communications and someday run her own radio show.
