Collaborative piano audition repertoire

Instrumental collaborative piano audition guidelines

Audition requirements

  1. Candidates must submit a complete repertoire list with their application
  2. You are strongly encouraged to sign up for a live audition. Auditions will last approximately 30 minutes and can be scheduled on your DecisionDesk application. Instrumentalists will be provided for you to perform with but candidates are welcome to bring their own partners. If this is not feasible, you may upload videos of your selected sonatas via DecisionDesk. For the additional assigned works and sight-reading portion of the audition, a live Skype or FaceTime audition will be scheduled

Audition repertoire

  1. One complete Mozart or Beethoven instrumental sonata
  2. Any large scale 19th or 20th century sonata (complete) for strings, winds or brass
  3. Two additional short works or movements of a work will be assigned by Lisa Leonard exactly two weeks prior to your audition. This allows us to assess your ability to learn quickly
  4. Sight-reading
