How to apply

Conservatory applicants must submit all required documents listed below to the Office of Admission.

Admission requirements

Undergraduate students:
  • Lynn University application
  • $45 nonrefundable application fee
  • Official transcripts from all previous schools attended
  • Essay
  • Official SAT/ACT scores or an indication that you will apply as test optional (learn more about our test optional policy)
Graduate students:

Conservatory requirements

  • DecisionDesk conservatory application*, which includes:
    • Supplemental information
    • Electronic recommendation forms
    • Schedule an audition

*Composition applicants do not need to complete a Decision Desk application or audition. Please contact Thomas McKinley directly for composition portfolio requirements.

Scholarship information

Tuition

All students admitted to the conservatory receive a full tuition scholarship.

Room and board

Conservatory of Music students that wish to be considered for a scholarship toward their room and board must apply for the Conservatory Music Scholarship.

Application deadlines

  • Lynn University application: Dec. 1
  • DecisionDesk application
    • Requesting a live audition: Dec. 1
    • Uploading a video audition: Jan. 1
  • All required admissions documents: Jan. 1
  • Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS), if required: Feb. 15
  • FAFSA (domestic students): Feb. 15
  • Housing scholarship application (international students): Feb. 15
  • All admission results will be sent by April 1.

Audition information

All audition options are located on the DecisionDesk conservatory application. Applicants will choose to schedule a live audition or upload a video while completing the DecisionDesk application. Audition repertoire requirements are listed below.

Please note: Students will not be permitted to participate in their scheduled live audition or have their audition video adjudicated until all required documents have been received by Lynn University and the Conservatory of Music.

Video audition
Acceptance to Lynn University's Conservatory of Music is highly selective; therefore, a live audition is highly recommended. Those who wish to submit an audition video may do so by uploading their video files on the DecisionDesk conservatory application. No other form of video audition will be accepted.
