Through your coursework, you’ll develop a professional-quality portfolio demonstrating a solid foundation in traditional 2-D design principles, as well as several ventures in still and motion photography, digital animation and 3-D design. You’ll study design for print, web and video by working on your own high-quality projects in each of those areas.
But your assignments won’t just be about education. The projects you work on as a multimedia design student will become examples of your professional ability. Then, before graduation, you’ll host your own on-campus portfolio exhibit, where you’ll showcase your talent to the community—and network with potential employers, too.
Your new degree will give you access to impressive career opportunities—many more than we could ever hope to list. Still, we’ve created this short sampling of careers you might pursue starting with this degree:
- Graphic designer
- Video designer
- Composition / layout designer
- Web designer / developer
We’re happy to help you set and reach your career goals. At Lynn, all students enjoy free career planning services.
Of course, as a multimedia design major you should expect to take a wide range of media and design classes, spanning topics in drawing, photography, layout, film and writing. You’ll explore new subjects and hone current strengths while exploring creation in all areas of physical and digital artistry.
General education classes will be satisfied through our Dialogues of Learning core curriculum—a program that relates real-world topics to traditional studies. Learn more about the B.S. in Multimedia Design:
