Become a visual storyteller by earning your bachelor’s degree in film and television.

Our film program emphasizes the creative, technical and theoretical study of the industry with courses in performance, production and editing.

You will have an opportunity to become an expert on the entire production process, from pre-production planning to post-production editing. Coursework will introduce you to the art of movie-making and storytelling, and practice will help you develop your own style.

Of course, all along you will be working with state-of-the-art technology—including high-definition cameras, 3-D cameras, advanced editing software and motion graphics—to hone skills and develop a strong professional portfolio.

Curriculum

As a film and television major, you’ll take a lot of hands-on production classes that will introduce you to the entire life cycle of a visual media project—you’ll study all the details it takes to make a movie from pre- to post-production. And to make sure you understand all aspects of the industry, you’ll also cover topics in writing, casting, sound recording and editing as well.
