Student Activities

Students in the college have many opportunities to participate in hospitality-related clubs, organizations and activities on campus. From an honor society to associations and industry-specific organizations, the college offers students a variety of choices for extracurricular activities. Students have the opportunity to participate in such activities as behind-the-scenes tours, professional conferences, industry-related training sessions, community service missions, and other practical learning events.

Advisory Board

In keeping with current industry standards for excellence, the College of Hospitality Management has an advisory board comprised of some of the best minds in the hospitality industry. The advisory board provides an invaluable resource in ensuring that the college lives up to its vision of being an individualized, innovative and international program. Members of the board assist the dean and faculty in proposing courses, field trips, experiences and simulations to enhance the students’ educational experience while exposing them to best industry practices and preparing them for managerial roles upon graduation.

Financial Aid Opportunities

There are many scholarship and financial aid opportunities specifically for those students who wish to major in hospitality and/or sports management. Scholarships for students in this field of study include funds covering everything from tuition, books, room and board, and even study abroad experiences. The College of Hospitality Management and the Office of Student Administrative Services will work with students in providing information and resources to assist in obtaining these hospitality- and sports-related scholarships.
