Professional Performance Certificate

Strings, Winds, Brass and Percussion

Our Professional Performance Certificate program offers specializations in:

  • Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon
  • French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba
  • Percussion
  • Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

Because of the small size and unique nature of the conservatory, students are assured a highly personalized and individualized education at Lynn.  Through private instruction, ensemble coaching and music related courses our faculty offer you comprehensive professional performance training.

As a participant in our unique chamber music program you will be thoughtfully assigned to a chamber group in every semester you are at Lynn.  Each group will have a structured rehearsal schedule, a weekly coaching and a required performance.

Under the musical direction of maestro Guillermo Figueroa, the Lynn University Philharmonia attains a professional level of performance; enjoying enormous public support of its eight symphonic programs.  We distinguish ourselves through our orchestral training program as we guarantee consistent performance opportunities for every instrumentalist.

Graduate students are assigned specific performance requirements to address multiple career paths.  As a P.P.C. student, you will complete an additional performance focused in a genre of your choosing in consultation with your teacher.  Additional performance opportunities you will experience at Lynn are weekly studio classes and performance forum, mock orchestral auditions offered in every semester, the New Music Festival and multiple master class opportunities.

In addition, P.P.C. student will perform an additional requirement (chosen from the previous list) at an off campus venue.  These adjudicated performances will all take place in the presence of the conservatory faculty.
