The deepening environmental crisis has created
the need for progressive strategies. Environmental Studies students will
receive a foundation necessary to formulate innovative but realistic strategies
in environmental protection. This foundation will include the chemical make-up
of our planet, the living systems which occupy our planet and the ecology of
living systems interacting with the environment. It will also cover the history
of how humans have historically interacted with their environment, making
wildlife conservation strategies a necessary consideration. Public policy is
studied as it relates to the environment and Environmental Law. Students will learn
how to apply these tenets towards real world issues and take a forward thinking
approach to solving these problems.
