Biography: Kristen Carr Ross

Kristen2.jpgKristen Carr Ross grew up in Hershey, Pa. She was a philosophy major with a minor in French at Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. and received her Bachelor of Arts in philosophy in 1994.

From 1994 – 1997, Kristen was an account executive and marketing and publications manager at Holman Communications, Washington, D.C., and a senior account executive with Arnold Public Relations in Boston, Mass from 1997- 1999.

In April 1999 she married Kevin Ross in Hershey, Pa. (they met at Colgate University) and moved to Boca Raton, Fla. She worked at Lynn University where she created, designed, wrote and edited the university’s first comprehensive magazine, Perspectives.

Kristen has been active in the Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) since 2000, and is currently president. She has served as vice president of planning, vice president of community, as well as co-chair of the Membership Satisfaction and Training Committee. She was the creator and two-time chair of JLBR C.A.R.E.S. (Caregiving, Awareness, Resources, Education and Support), a community project focusing on raising awareness of the importance of care giving for the elderly and supporting the needs of local caregivers, and 2006 co-chair of Chocolate Decadence, a chocolate festival fundraiser benefiting the community projects of the Junior League.

Family.jpgKristen enjoys all types of music, especially live performances, and running, yoga and Pilates. She was a former dancer and singer, and sang in an a cappella group, The Swinging Gates, in college.

She is co-owner of a small clothing business/ETCETERA agency and loves spending time at the beach and with her family.
