Volunteer for Lynn University’s 2012 presidential debate

When Lynn University announced it would host the final presidential debate on Oct. 22, 2012, one of the first questions asked by those who want to experience the event first hand– after ‘how can I get a ticket’ – was ‘how can I become a volunteer.’
“We have been hard at work planning for this historic event,” said Carole Dodge, Lynn's director of employee services and chair of the debate volunteer committee. “We are pleased to announce that the official debate volunteer application is now available online.”
Volunteers will be selected to assist with a variety of administrative and technical tasks the week of the debate including: credentialing, parking, hospitality, technology, media assistance, photography and ushering.
“All positions will be assigned based on individual skills,” said Dodge. “The volunteer committee will match the applicant’s interests with the university’s upcoming needs. As many of our needs are outside of the debate hall, it’s important to note that only a limited number of volunteers will be in the Wold Performing Arts Center the night of the debate.”
Those interested in volunteering should apply online. If selected, volunteers will receive an email notification in the coming weeks.
