Meet Kyle, a sophomore hospitality major and forward on the men’s soccer team

Published Dec. 19, 2008

For Kyle, a 19-year-old sophomore from Jensen Beach, Fla., life is all about balance. A forward for Lynn’s men’s soccer team (consistently one of the country’s top squads), he has to manage a schedule that includes a full plate of classes, practices, and even, during the occasional free moment, Xbox FIFA matches.

“Being on the team takes a lot of commitment, it takes a lot of time,” says Kyle. “But in the end it all pays off.”

When not kicking goals or out supporting his fellow Fighting Knights on the women’s team, Kyle is hitting the books. One of his classes, Responsible Citizenship with professor Anna Krift has encouraged Kyle to get involved with other campus groups – like Model U.N. “I really like the class. It’s interesting,” he says. “We learn a lot about what’s going on in the world today, and how you can play your part.”
