Rick Sayers, a senior human resources and corporate compliance executive, brings 36 years of corporate experience to Lynn University’s classrooms. In this role, Sayers was welcomed as Lynn’s first Executive-in-Residence in the College of Business and Management this fall.
Teaching two business classes – an undergraduate course on Human Resource Management, and a graduate course, Managing Human Resources – Sayers is also president of a human resources consulting company, HR Solutions Partner, LLC in Delray Beach, Fla.
Sayers specialty involves the strategic components of human resource management, and his approach to teaching is aligned with Lynn’s approach to experiential education.
“I experienced 36 years of corporate life, worked for four CEO’s, worked with six Compensation Committee Chairs and interfaced with numerous corporate boards of directors,” said Sayers. “With real life examples, I teach my students how the text comes alive through practical application. For me, teaching is all about telling work life stories that resonate with students.”
