Lynn professor examines organizational management and culture

Alison Rampersad, assistant professor of management and management information systems in Lynn University's College of Business and Management, is an expert who specializes in studying how culture affects leadership style, workgroup effectiveness and team development. Rampersad has authored or co-authored several studies. Most recently, she was co-author of a study that won the Best Paper Award at the 2008 Clute Institute ABR Business Conference.
Despite the technical nature of her discipline, she says that “education is first and foremost fun.” Rampersad has taught at Lynn since 1998 and has more than 20 years of teaching experience.

As an assistant professor of management at Lynn University, Rampersad has looked at organizational management from a wide-variety of angles. She has also examined customer satisfaction in the financial services and higher education industries. She can speak to the media about the effects of culture in workforce and organizational effectiveness, human resource issues, small business issues and customer relations practices.
Rampersad is currently running for the Florida House of Representatives, District 90. The race was recently covered in the Sun-Sentinel. She has also produced the radio show Dil Ki Awaz (literal Hindi Translation, “Voices of the Heart) for more than 14 years. The show plays oldies from the 1930s to 1970s.
