Lynn University

Steve Odland serves as adjunct faculty in the Graduate School of Business at Lynn University. Previously, Odland worked as Chairman and CEO of Office Depot from 2005 to 2010. During his leadership, he restructured the company, significantly reinvigorating company growth and improving all customer metrics. He created and launched new strategic plans, developed customer solutions in the areas of design and print, tech-services, e-commerce, and managed print while integrating acquisitions in China, Eastern Europe, North America, South America, Israel, Sweden and India. Odland was also known as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of AutoZone from 2001 until 2005; President and CEO of Tops Markets, Inc. from 1998 to 2000; President of the Foodservice Division of Sara Lee Bakery from 1997 to 1998; and a valuable employee of Quaker Oats from 1981 to 1996 where he held various executive positions.

Today, Odland is an active member of the Board of Directors of General Mills and the Business Council. He has also been a member of numerous industry-related organizations, including the Business Roundtable, the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission, the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation, the Florida Council of 100, the Advisory Council of the Institute for Corporate Ethics and the Advisory Council at the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business.

Among his many accomplishments, Odland has been recognized as a U.S. Presidential Appointee by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation as well as by the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission.
