50th Anniversary

50th Anniversary Round LogoWelcome to Lynn's Big Year

The 2012-2013 school year at Lynn University is destined to be the most exciting and eventful year to date in our history. We're calling it Lynn's Big Year, and whether you're a student, faculty or staff member or friend of the university, we hope you'll join us in celebrating our rich history and our promising future as we mark 50 years as an institution of higher learning.

50 Years Young

Lynn University has come a long way from our start as an all-women's college issuing 2-year degrees to become one of the most international universities in the nation. We've been known by 3 names along the way, but our goals and our mission have never wavered. We're commemorating our golden anniversary with a year full of programs and special events that will showcase and celebrate the Lynn story:

  • Our 50th Anniversary logo can be spotted across campus, online and in print publications around South Florida
  • Mark your calendars for our 50th Anniversary Celebration taking place during Alumni Weekend, Thurs. March 21 through Sat. March 23, 2013 on campus
  • Check myLynn and ourLynn for additional events throughout the year

Presidential Debate

In November 2011, it was announced that Lynn University would be awarded the honor of hosting one of the most prestigious events that can take place at a college or university. Our place in history will be cemented firmly on Oct. 22, 2012, when international media, lawmakers, presidential hopefuls and the president himself will come to campus to participate in the third and final presidential debate of the 2012 election. We're marking the occasion with events throughout the community leading up to the big day. Stay abreast of all the happenings on our debate website

Share Your Love for Lynn

As Lynn celebrates 50 years as part of the education landscape of South Florida, we know we could not have made it this far without you and your passion for this unique place. We are gathering bits and pieces of our story from the people who've lived it, and we hope you'll share with us why Lynn University holds a special place in your heart.
